Our Commitment

At Dead Northern Horror Film Festival and Horror Events, we are dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees—whether in person or online.

We welcome film lovers, creators, guests, and vendors to celebrate horror together while treating each other with kindness and respect.

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone attending our events, including guests, staff, volunteers, vendors, press, and online participants.

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the event or digital platforms without a refund.

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following will not be tolerated at any Dead Northern event:

Harassment & Threats

Harassment, bullying, or intimidation, including physical threats or violence
Unwanted physical contact or sexual advances

Discrimination & Hate Speech

Discriminatory behaviour, offensive language, or hate speech based on:

• Race or ethnicity
• Gender identity or expression
• Sexual orientation
• Disability
• Age
• Religion or belief

Other Violations

Use of slurs, obscene gestures, or derogatory language
Unauthorised photography or video recording of guests, fellow attendees, or screenings

Reporting a Violation

If you witness or experience any inappropriate behaviour, please:

Alert the nearest staff member — they will escalate the issue appropriately

All reports will be handled confidentially and addressed within 24 hours

Immediate Action

A festival manager will assess the situation and take appropriate measures, which may include:
Issuing a formal warning
Removing the offender from the event
Involving local authorities if necessary

Zero-Tolerance Policy

If you are asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour, you must comply immediately.
Serious or repeated violations will result in permanent removal from the festival—without a ticket refund.
