Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further, giving horror fans their most terrifying look yet at the next chapter in the long-running supernatural franchise ahead of its 21 August 2026 cinema release.
Having grossed more than $740 million worldwide, the Insidious series returns with a brand-new family at its centre while expanding the mythology of The Further in unsettling new ways.
This time, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother who returns to the house she grew up in with her daughter. When she discovers she has the rare ability to enter The Further the eerie realm of lost souls that has haunted the franchise since the beginning - she soon realises her gift comes with a terrifying consequence. Gemma doesn't just travel into The Further... she can bring what lurks there back into the real world.
As demons discover her extraordinary power, the boundary between worlds begins to collapse, turning our reality into their hunting ground.
The film also marks the return of horror icon Lin Shaye as paranormal investigator Elise Rainier, reprising one of the franchise's most beloved characters. Directing duties are handled by Jacob Chase (Come Play), who also wrote the screenplay, with the story developed alongside David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. The film is produced by franchise veterans Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell.
Alongside the final trailer, Sony has also unveiled a collection of eerie new demon character posters, teasing some of the nightmarish entities audiences will encounter when the film arrives in cinemas.
